Weather Monitoring System Using IoT-based DIY Automatic Weather Station

摘要
This research focuses on the development of a weather monitoring system representing the data collected by a do-it-yourself (DIY), Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic weather station. The system displays the gathered data through three distinct platforms: a dedicated website, an Android application and the ThingSpeak cloud platform. The automatic weather station stores the weather parameter data in its own database. A developed script extracts the data from the database and sends it to the website and ThingSpeak platform where it is represented appropriately. The Android app presents the website interface in the form of a mobile application. The system has been implemented successfully and reliably performs weather monitoring, providing the user with personal choice, accessibility and mobility. It is easy to implement and uses free and open-source software.
