摘要
This study presents the computational analysis of conjugate mixed convection heat and mass transfer in a spatial horizontal channel that contains a heat source of periodical heat generation and two heat-conducting ribs on its surface. Heat transfer and fluid flow in the considered research have been described by the system of NavierStokes equations as well as energy equations for liquid working medium and solid blocks initially using the primitive variables. The problem has been analyzed using dimensionless non-primitive variables including vorticity vector, velocity vector and temperature by employing the finite-difference technique with a uniform mesh. The influence of the heat-generating fins height, the total size of fins, the periodic heat flux boundary condition at the local heater, and the cooling intensity of the heater on heat transfer performance has been examined.
