Cognitive virtual model. Between representation space and design space

摘要
The expansion of digital technology is shifting the traditional representation of architecture towards the virtual model. On the one hand, the ability of Boudon's architecturological model to integrate new technologies is being questioned. If the virtual model serves as an interface between the material and the immaterial, does it remain a simple tool of representation? On the other hand, the concept of the cognitive virtual model, which integrates the generative processes of form, stems from Dhouib's systemic architecturology. Does natural intelligence combined with artificial intelligence, in its most general sense relating to artefacts, elevate the virtual model to a cognitive level of abstraction? This article proposes an epistemological study to situate the virtual model in relation to these two architecturological postures.
