摘要
Bamboo-based composites have progressively emerged as a vital element in the field of biomaterial structures. As a novel environmentally friendly engineered bamboo composite, inorganic-bonded bamboo composite (InorgBam) is prepared by magnesium oxysulfide (MOS) inorganic and bamboo fiber strips. In this paper, a total of 45 InorgBam columns in 15 groups were fabricated, the eccentric compression bearing performance of the columns was studied by uniaxial eccentric compression tests. The effects of eccentricities and slenderness ratios on the failure pattern, load-bearing capacity and deformation properties were discussed. Results show that the ultimate load-bearing capacity decreased with increasing eccentricity and slenderness ratio, accompanied by the significant lateral deformation. The analytical models for load-bearing capacity of InorgBam columns under eccentric compression were investigated based on the stress-strain relationship of InorgBam material. Additionally, the load-bearing capacity of InorgBam columns was evaluated by the design formulas in current codes for design of wood component. Finally, a simplified design formula was proposed to check the load-bearing capacity of InorgBam column under eccentric compression through the load-moment envelope analysis and nonlinear fitting method.
