摘要
The article describes the research of Chilean librarians in the period 2000-2023, employing publications indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science. It studies 218 articles developed by 72 librarians through a quantitative methodological approach and exploratory scope. As a result, individual production, number of citations received, h-index, and i10-index were identified, highlighting the metrics of three researchers. In addition, the chronological distribution of the articles was analyzed, which tends to increase in the last four years; this was prompted by new authors, postgraduate studies abroad and incentives for researchers and academic personnel. These articles were published in Latin American (61.5 %), European (36.2 %), and American (2.3 %) journals, mainly in Spanish (70.4 %). The thematic distribution corresponds to Information Use and Sociology of Information (17.3 %); Users, Reading and Literacy (14.2 %); Libraries as Physical Collections (11.9 %); Health Sciences (11.9 %); Information Technology and Library Technology (11.5 %), among others. The conclusions remark on the importance of knowing and disseminating the articles of Chilean librarians and encouraging the incorporation of new authors in collaboration with interdisciplinary research groups.
