摘要
In recent decades, serious concerns have arisen about the use of synthetic compounds as corrosion inhibitors due to negative consequences for the environment. Therefore, a large amount of work has been started to study the possibility of using natural compounds to prevent the corrosion process of metal equipment. From the point of view of environmental friendliness, promising components of protective materials can be substandard products of plant origin, one of the main advantages of which, in addition to solving environmental problems, is their relative cheapness and rapid renewal. The requirements for corrosion inhibitors include a set of properties that allow not only to achieve a high protective effect, but also to maintain the technological mode under specific production conditions, as well as to exclude the possibility of causing environmental damage. Extracts of natural products, being biodegradable, are environmentally friendly and do not pose a threat to the environment. Various researchers have successfully demonstrated the applicability of extracts of natural products as "green" corrosion inhibitors. The presented review contains materials from studies carried out in this area. It has been shown that natural products, plant extracts, polymers, ionic liquids, surfactants and essential oils can be successfully used as corrosion inhibitors for metal equipment operating in various aggressive environments. The final choice of a corrosion inhibitor for a particular application is limited by several factors, including increasing environmental awareness and the need to select environmentally friendly processes in combination with the specificity of the reagents' actions, which often require the combined action of compounds to achieve high efficiency
