摘要
This paper explores the cracking phenomenon within the framework of Rastall gravity, focusing on how local density perturbations influence the stability of stellar objects. To achieve this, we assumed an isotropic matter configuration and derived the field equations and equilibrium conditions for spherically symmetric spacetime in the context of Rastall gravity. Our analysis utilized the barotropic equation of state along with the Krori-Barua spacetime metric coefficients. The equilibrium state of the configuration was then subjected to local density perturbations to assess its stability. To validate our methodology, we analyzed several stellar objects, including 4U 1820-30, Her X-1, SAX J1808.4-3658, PSR J1614-2230, RX J1856-37, Vela X-1, and Cen X-3. The results demonstrate that cracking occurs in these stars for specific ranges of Rastall parameters. This study highlights the importance of the cracking approach as a powerful tool for conducting a detailed stability analysis of stellar structures.
