摘要
This paper considers the problem of modelling a complex system with a view to analysing and assessing its dependability (reliability, maintainability, availability, safety or RAMS for short), from the perspective of risk control for its management. Several attributes contribute to the qualification of a complex system, including the number of sub-systems down to the elementary component (known as subsystem whose model for the desired analysis or specification is known). Meanwhile, sub-systems and/or component interact with other, often in ways that are uncertain to the modeler or user. The main aim of this paper is to present a framework for describing the risk, or rather a chain of events leading to the risk of using the system under consideration. To this end, a first approach called U-cycle is presented to characterize the system in functional and dysfunctional terms, followed by a structural characterization of the notion of complexity considered in this paper. A brief overview of the scientific tools available to address this notion of complexity is presented, along with illustrative example of the most relevant scientific tools (Bayesian technology) to address the notion of complexity is considered in this paper.
