摘要
The aquatic system is impacted by the hazardous pollution done by the release of carbamate pesticides as water waste. It is interesting to note that wastewater treatment from carbamate pesticides is necessary. Herein, removal of carbaryl and methomyl as carbamate pesticides from aqueous medium was investigated by Ca-MOF with different morphology. Ca-MOF was synthesized using solvothermal and microwave methods to create Ca-MOF-S and Ca-MOF-M, which have sheaf structures, and sheet structures, respectively. Kinetic and isothermal studies were conducted to examine the impact of Ca-MOF shape on the adsorption of carbaryl and methomyl. Compared to methomyl, carbaryl has a significantly better adsorption capability. When in comparison with Ca-MOF-S, the Ca-MOF-M had the highest adsorption capacity. For carbaryl adsorption, the estimated Langmuir maximum removal capacities (Qm) rose from 366.64 mg.g-1 for Ca-MOF-S up to 732.13 mg.g- 1 for Ca-MOF-M. The maximal uptake capacity for methomyl was increased from 179.72 mg.g-1 for Ca-MOF-S up to 500.36 mg.g-1 for Ca-MOF-M. The pi-pi stacking interaction between the benzene ring present in carbaryl and both Ca-MOF-S, and Ca-MOF-M is the main mechanism for carbaryl removal. While the removal rate was reduced by 11 % and 20 % for carbaryl and methomyl, respectively, by applying up to 5-time reuses, the produced Ca-MOF-M demonstrated a notably high degree of reusability.
