摘要：
Computing and communication technologies have been the most transformative of the last decades, permeating every aspect of our lives and society. These technologies offer unprec-edented benefits that were once in science fiction. Their omni-presence has been made possible by gradually making their inherent complexity invisible to end users, making their benefits and related gratification thus easily available. This industry column reflects on the defining role of ambient intelligence and computing in the 6G era.
