Reliable Message Exchange for Cooperative Autonomous Driving in 3GPP C-V2X Networks

摘要
Recently, cooperative autonomous driving has become a popular research topic. In the network scenario, an autonomous vehicle can ask its neighboring vehicles to provide sensory data to facilitate decision-making. We observe that message exchanges between vehicles may lead to reliability issues. This paper tackles the challenge of ensuring reliable message exchanges in cooperative autonomous driving with the 3GPP C-V2X standard. We first introduce a message exchange framework and then design a neighbor selection method for message-requesting vehicles. The designed neighbor selection scheme considers various metrics of neighboring vehicles' capabilities to enhance reliability. Simulation results demonstrate that our designs can facilitate avoiding faulty or malicious data sources and increasing the success ratio in obtaining accurate information.
