摘要
Tourist satisfaction and ecotourism are considered significant for sustainable tourism in Nigeria. This study objectives were to assess tourism eco-attractions, facilities, satisfaction level, and ecotourism practices for sustainability framework. It will suggest better ecotourism guidance against undue exploitation of tourist centers. Respondents included international and domestic tourists. A total of 290 respondents and fourteen Key Informants were surveyed using questionnaires. Data obtained was subjected to statistical analysis. The results showed that Ikogosi has the highest tourism elements and eco-attractions while Omu Resort is highly patronized. Findings revealed that Ikogosi Springs (25.2%), Olumirin Waterfall (24.2%), Old Oyo National Park (24.6%), and Omu Resort (26%) has tourism-related facilities. Additionally, computed hypothetical component results varied significantly (X-tab = 9.49, p < 0.05). The Tourist Importance and Satisfaction Index were significant with values of 4.13 and 3.20, respectively. Regression value (R-2 = 0.082) predicted a significant tourist attraction to eco-destinations. Key Informants confirmed low adherence to standard ecotourism practices and suggested strategic techniques for improvement. The study concluded that the availability of tourism amenities and facilities influenced satisfaction, patronage, and potential future visits. However, the sustainability dimension is low in all eco-destinations. Therefore, low ecotourism practices require strict compliance to optimize tourist satisfaction, eco-destination behavior, and tourism sustainability.
