Dynamic Dissolution Equilibrium of Ni, Mo, and Fe Sites Synergistically Boosts the Oxygen Evolution Reaction

摘要
The construction of heterostructures is one of the commonly used modification methods for electrocatalysts. Therefore, a hybrid synthesis method combining hydrothrermal and electrodeposition techniques has been utilized to produce an amorphous bimetallic oxide/hydroxide (NiMoO4/NiFe LDH). The construction of amorphous nature and heterostructure of materials has greatly promoted catalytic activity. More importantly, XPS analysis indicates that after CV activation, metal atoms undergo electron transfer, greatly promoting charge transfer and the production of oxygen evolution reactions. Therefore, the catalyst exhibits a low overpotential, reaching 10 mA<middle dot>cm-2 only at a voltage of 1.45 V versus RHE. Additionally, it has a Tafel slope of 32.35 mV & sdot;dec-1, indicating excellent reaction kinetics. The design and construction of the catalyst can offer a new strategy for energy conversion and sustainable energy storage.
