摘要
Over the past 20 years, the management of type 1 diabetes (T1D) has undergone significant changes due to technological advancements. Insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems have largely replaced traditional basal-bolus therapy and capillary blood glucose testing, becoming established and effective treatments, especially in pediatric care. Automated insulin delivery (AID) systems, which integrate CGM with insulin pumps, offer automatic, glucose-responsive insulin dose adjustments. The adoption of AID systems is rapidly growing and is recommended by international guidelines for children and adolescents with T1D, ideally starting soon after diagnosis. In many countries, AID systems have already become the gold standard for these age groups. Since the launch of the first commercial AID system, additional systems have been developed and approved. AID technology has demonstrated its effectiveness in enhancing glycemic control and shows promising results even for young children, though availability for this age group is still limited.
