摘要
Electromagnetic fields originating from high voltage power system assets, can contain valuable information for grid operators and owners and are easily accessible. For example, one may obtain the system frequency, absolute electric and magnetic fields or information about power quality from the electric and magnetic fields originating from the assets. By means of finite element analyses in FEMM 4.2, electromagnetic fields beneath a typical 400 kV transmission line bay configuration in a substation are analyzed to extract information about the harmonic amplitudes of the three-phase system. To further study the influence of three-phase systems, the results are compared to single-phase systems. The impact and peculiarities of three-phase electromagnetic fields on the measurement position are then discussed to enable more accurate contactless measurements.
