摘要
Climate change and its consequences claim to transform our energy system at an unprecedented speed while at the same time the fundaments of a secure energy supply must be maintained. The Syste(M)arket can make a valuable contribution to successfully reaching the goal of climate neutrality in Germany. It is an integrated and at the same time modular market design, which intends to consider all the necessary needs of our energy system in a transparent and consistent manner as well as to coordinate their procurement process. It is a supplement to the existing spot and futures markets and thus ensures the long-term provision of the necessary system needs including ancillary services required for grid operation (e.g. reactive power, grid inertia, etc.). The major goal of the Syste(M)arket concept is to ensure security of supply and a robust operation of the future power system.
