摘要
Although patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) have an increased risk of major liver injury (MALOs), concrete screening recommendations are only vaguely formulated in current guidelines. In this context, Shang et al. wanted to know what role the individual characteristics of the metabolic syndrome (MetS) play in the rate of progression to MALOs and initiated a national registry study with Swedish patients with diabetes.
