摘要
Introduction:A study assessed women's knowledge of obesity and weight loss management in Southern India.Materials and methods:The study used a quasi-experimental design, with two urban areas selected for control and study groups. Biographic data were collected through SIS, and pre and post-tests were conducted using a SSAKQ and an Interventional Module. Results:Results showed high obesity prevalence among women, with BMI (68%, 74%) and high-risk category waist circumference (91%, 93%). The study found a significant difference in knowledge levels between the control and study groups, with the interventional module being effective in increasing knowledge levels.
