摘要
We investigate the system performance in terms of achievable rate for the transmission schemes in multi-beam high throughput satellite (HTS) systems with the practical antenna radiation pattern generation, which mainly involves full frequency reuse (FFR) and two-color reuse (2-FR) schemes. The typical precoding designs are explored for both FFR and 2-FR from engineering implementation point of view. Then, in total of 63 beams are generated using TICRA Tools to analyze the system performance of the schemes, and all beams are operated in Ka band with beam width of 0.5 degrees. Consequently, it can be observed that FFR and 2-FR can improve the rate performance for HTS system in contrast to the four-color reuse (4-FR) owing to improved frequency multiplexing and efficient precoding. Compared to 4-FR, the average performance gain of 14% can be obtained by FFR using zero forcing at different transmit power levels, and of +40% can be achieved by all the other strategies, considering inter-beam polarization isolation of 20dB in 2-FR.
