Agency and Human Flourishing- Ethical Orientation in Troubled Times.

In the first part, the article attempts to make the criterion of optimally developed agency plausible as the objective core ofa weakly perfectionist definition of the concept of human flourishing. The second part applies this criterion to some exemplary fields of individual ethics (personal development, relationship skills, physician-assisted dying and therapy limitation at the end of life) as well as social ethics (migration crisis, relationship between investment and consumption, climate policy).
