摘要
This study was conducted to investigate the impact of Kahoot! quizzes on students' achievement. Kahoot! is a tool for using technology to administer quizzes, discussions or surveys. It is a game-based classroom response system played by the whole class in real time. Multiple-choice questions were projected on the screen. Students answered the questions with their smartphone, tablet or computer without creating their accounts. Weekly quizzes were used to test the effectiveness of the treatment regarding the students' learning achievement. The participants in this study were 26 students enrolled in Pre-Calculus Section 1 using Kahoot!. 22 students enrolled in Section 2 using Kahoot!, and 17 students enrolled in the same course without Kahoot!. All three sections were taught by the same instructor at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College. Statistically significant results were observed for improvement in students' achievement. The present analyses suggest that the students performed better at weekly assessments in classes that utilized Kahoot!
