摘要
This paper investigates the influence of phase noise on the performance of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems employing 32-QAM modulation over fading channels. MIMO systems have gained significant attention due to their ability to enhance data rates and spectral efficiency. However, the presence of phase noise in practical communication systems can deteriorate their performance. In this study, we analyze the impact of phase noise on both 2x2 and 4x4 MIMO configurations, considering realistic fading channel models. Through extensive simulations, we evaluate the degradation in system performance in terms of bit error rate (BER) and throughput under varying levels of phase noise. Additionally, we propose and assess mitigation techniques to mitigate the adverse effects of phase noise on MIMO systems. The findings of this research contribute to a better understanding of the challenges posed by phase noise in MIMO communication systems and provide insights into effective mitigation strategies to ensure reliable and efficient wireless communication.
