摘要
In chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP), Nasal Endoscopy is used both for Diagnosis and to monitor response to Treatment. This important Examination Method plays an important Role in both daily Practice and Research. Compared to other Imaging Methods such as Computed Tomography, Nasal Endoscopy is simpler and less expensive and therefore more suitable for regular Assessment of the Disease Course. Various Endoscopic Staging Methods have been proposed over the last 30 Years. However, the Differences in these Methods make it difficult to compare the Results of different Studies. The Present Report is a Summary of the Work by Gevaert P et al "European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Position Paper on Endoscopic Scoring of Nasal Polyposis" recently published in the journal "Allergy". The summarized Work is the Result of a Working Group of Experts in the Field of CRSwNP, created by the ENT Section of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), and aims to establish a unified endoscopic Scoring System for the Assessment of Nasal Polyps, which can serve as a reference Standard for Researchers and as a Useful Tool for Physicians involved in the Treatment of CRSwNP
