摘要
Nitrobenzene (NB) catalytic hydrogenation, an important approach for synthesis of p-Aminophenol (PAP), but the preparation of catalysts with excellent catalytic performance. In this investigation, this continues to be a critical challenge. we investigate the effect of carbon-coated platinum-based catalysts on the catalytic performance of NB hydrogenation to produce PAP. For this purpose, the S-1 support was modified by high-temperature calcination. The research additionally assesses how carbon coating affects the geometric and electronic characteristics of the catalyst. Theoretically, as the carbon layer thickens, the total number of active metal sites declines. The pronounced interaction between C and Pt results in the S-1 support capturing some of the Pt electrons, which reduces the catalyst's reactivity and inhibits the excessive hydrogenation side reactions, Facilitates the desorption of the intermediate product phenylhydroxylamine (PHA). Consequently, this catalyst significantly enhances the selectivity of Interaction.
