摘要:
Toxoplasmosis can have serious consequences, particularly for immunocompromised individuals and pregnant women, due to the risk to the fetus. Toxoplasma gondii, a cosmopolitan and ubiquitous parasite, spreads mainly via the feco-oral and congenital routes. Pharmacists are in the front line when it comes to educating and advising their pregnant patients on preventive measures, in particular food hygiene rules and precautions concerning contact with felines, the parasite's definitive hosts.
