Developing deodorizing materials tailored for odor and toxic sulfidation gases from crumb rubber modified asphalt (CR MA) during the construction process is crucial. Zinc stearate (ZS), molecular sieve (MS), and layered double hydroxides (LDHs) were used in this study for sulfidation gases removal (H2S, CH4S, COS, and CS2) was determined. The deodorization mechanism on sulfidation gases and rheological properties of composite deodorants on CR MA were investigated. Results indicate that the three deodorants synergistically inhibit the release of sulfidation gases by inhibiting the desulfurization and degradation of CR, and reducing the escape of element S from asphalt. In addition, the H2S, CH4S, COS, and CS2 of CR MA were optimal reduced by 86.13 %, 83.01 %, 58.26 %, and 58.62 %, respectively. And compound deodorants inhibited the release of CH4, CH2O, NH3, and VOCs from CR MA. Furthermore, the composite deodorants improved the high temperature deformation resistance while ensuring low temperature crack resistance of CR MA.
