摘要
This paper explores the excitation of on-body creeping waves using low-profile TEM horn antennas at 2.80 GHz. The investigation simulates key parameters such as reflection and transmission coefficients versus various frequencies and distances. It compares the creeping wave transmission path loss around the human torso at 2.80 GHz for both monopole and horn antennas. Through simulations, the study reveals that the horn antenna consistently outperforms the monopole antenna across these parameters. The superior performance of the horn antenna underscores its potential as a more effective choice in scenarios where creeping wave characteristics play a crucial role. These findings contribute valuable insights for applications requiring reliable and efficient signal propagation for body area communications where creeping waves are significant.
