To address long-distance communication needs, it is sometimes necessary to construct Microstrip Patch antennas with notably directional properties (relatively high gains). Increasing the antenna's electrical size will achieve this goal. It is possible to increase the antenna's overall dimensions without increasing the size of its parts by arranging the radiating elements in a specific electrical and geometrical arrangement. The new antenna comprises many pieces and is called an array. The items in an array are usually the same. Vector addition of the fields emitted by the individual elements gives the broad field of the array. An antenna's radiation pattern refers to how the antenna's radiated power changes as one moves away from the antenna. The antenna's far field shows this power fluctuation concerning the arrival angle. The radiation intensity is most significant in one lobe compared to the others. The term "major lobe" is often used to describe this structure. Minor lobes are the other, less dominant lobes. Half-power beamwidth (HPBW) is the angular separation of the beam's half-power points and measures the main beam's width. Antenna engineers have difficulty designing prototype antennas that fulfil the radiation and integration criteria of the telecommunications system they are working on. The proposed study thus uses a convex optimization approach to analyse the patterns produced by an array of microstrip patch antennas. The performance parameters of the antenna have been simulated in MATLAB software. Based on simulation and experimental data, the array can function with a return loss of less than 15 dB and a sidelobe level of less than -15 dB from 32 to 36.4 GHz. Our prototype antenna has an experimental bandwidth of over 3 GHz and a sidelobe level of -15.6 db. These impressively low-level sidelobe and cross-polarization measurements validate the technique's viability, which employs a relatively straightforward construction strategy.
