摘要
Scientific research on male reproductive and sexual aspects in Brazil is still in its early stages, mainly due to a lack of updated data to study these dimensions. This article aimed to present and discuss the main available popula-tion databases for studying this topic, highlighting their potentials and limitations. It is believed that with the release of the Brazilian Demographic and Health Survey in 2025, which will provide diverse current and unprecedented data, numerous research possibilities will open up. This will enable a new perspective on male fertility and sexual and repro-ductive health in Brazil, thus helping to better understand the fertility transition process in the country
