摘要
The oil and gas industry is the main source of energy needed to meet the growing global energy demand and such an industry suffers from obstacles whether on the information security like attacking the surveillance systems, or on the field infrastructure such as oil spills and gas leaks during transmission through the pipelines, equipment failure, and sabotage, leading to significant physical damages of billions of dollars. Numerous researchers have contributed a great deal of work in this area, some of them worked on centralized systems which facing a number of problems, such as reliance on intermediaries, a lack of privacy, and single point of failure, while others focused on decentralized systems, which have drawbacks such high costs, untrustworthy third-party storage, 51%, Sybil, and sniffing attacks, as well as delays in data retrieval. This paper envisioned a decentralized Hyperledger Fabric blockchain using surveillance thermal CCTV cameras. It presents blockchain-based re-authentication; external safe storage adopts IPFS for scalability and hash-based data integrity, low-complexity authentication with ECDSA, and resistance to well-known malicious attacks. Our work has been validated through informal and formal security analysis utilizing the Scyther Tool. As well, the performance analysis yielded a value (0.1842) for the compression ratio of IPFS storage space.
