摘要
Executive Functions (EF) are complex cognitive processes that guide behavior, emotions, and thoughts toward valuable goals for the individual. Their study in the adolescent population has been limited, due to the scarcity of evaluation tools in this group and in our language. For this reason, this study focused on adapting the Teenage Executive Functioning Inventory (TEXI) scale to Spanich and examining its psychometric properties in Argentine adolescents. The original two-dimensional model proposed by the authors was evaluated, both in the self-report and in the heteroreport. A translation of the instrument was performed, and a content validity analysis was performed by expert judges. To analyze construct validity, the scale was administered to 143 adolescents aged 12 to 18. The findings indicate that the adaptation of the TEXI scale may be an appropriate measure to evaluate EF during adolescence, supported by evidence of validity in the internal structure and reliability of scores. This study represents a contribution to the evaluation of EF in adolescents.
