摘要
Catalyst utilized in hydrogen peroxide catalytic decomposition monopropellant thruster requires high mechanical and thermal resistance because of challenging condition with high pressure and temperature. Thus, in order to overcome potential hazard, it is necessary to investigate catalyst support with high longevity. Seven catalyst supports were experimented by active material mass fraction test to identify maximum MnO2 mass fraction, drop test to examine reaction delay time, and catalytic decomposition test to quantify catalyst mass loss rate. Al2O3 was evaluated as effective catalyst support that has high reactivity and durability simultaneously.
