Weak texture 3D reconstruction method based on laser-assisted scanning and moving platforms

摘要
Structure from motion (SFM) is a basic technique in 3D reconstruction, and its performance largely depends on the accurate detection and matching of feature points in the image. When the feature points are sparse, the reconstruction process often fails or produces sub-optimal results. An innovative method, to our knowledge, of integrating active laser technology is proposed in this study. This method mainly combines laser triangulation and motionbased measurement techniques. By applying the method of point cloud fusion, the high-precision reconstruction of a weak feature surface is realized. The experimental results show that the proposed method has strong adaptability and robustness. This study provides an effective solution to the challenges encountered in weak feature surface reconstruction. (c) 2025 Optica Publishing Group.
