The study examined the patterns, structure, and trajectory of Indian trade within the post-COVID-19 global landscape. Additionally, it differentiated between trade in goods and services, evaluating the unique contributions of each sector to the Indian economy's external trade. The Reserve Bank of India's handbook of statistics on the Indian economy and the export-import data bank of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry were used as secondary data sources. To thoroughly analyse the future perspectives of international trade, various aspects were considered, including the changing dynamics of technology, geopolitical conditions, the sustainability of socio-economic and ecological systems, and the inherent capabilities of the Indian economy. The analysis indicated that the trade trajectory demonstrated a V-shaped recovery after COVID-19, mirroring India's GDP growth rate.
