We have studied field and temperature dependences of the magnetic moment, M(H) and M(T), for a number of superconducting rhodium borides with the LuRh4B4 structure: a "classic" superconductor (YRh4B4), a substitutional solid solution containing magnetic ions (Y0.8Dy0.2Rh4B4), and magnetic superconductors (DyRh3.8Ru0.2B4 and HoRh3.8Ru0.2B4). The results have been used to analyze distinctive features of the paramagnetic Meissner effect in these compounds. It has been shown that the paramagnetic Meissner effect can be due to both the intrinsic magnetic subsystem of the superconductor and small additions of magnetic ions to a parent "classic" superconducting compound.
