摘要
The use of waste materials in industrial applications has gained significant attention due to the growing emphasis on sustainability and environmental conservation. Recycling agricultural by-products, such as olive waste, presents an opportunity to reduce environmental impact while enhancing the performance of materials in critical applications. This study investigates the impact of incorporating olive waste into Saudi Class G well cement formulation on different properties of the cement including filtration, elasticity, porosity, and strength of the cement. Five cement slurries were prepared to incorporate 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.375, and 0.5% olive waste to investigate the effect of the olive waste concentration on the cement properties. The findings concluded that addition of olive waste led to reduced filtration loss up to 58% by addition of 0.5% of olive waste into the cement slurry formulation. The highest compressive strength of 40.5 MPa (17.7% greater than the samples with no olive waste) was achieved for the sample with 0.375% olive waste. Addition of the olive waste also steady decrease the tensile strength and Poisson's ratio of the cement samples. The lowest Young's modulus and porosity values were also reported for the samples with 0.375% olive waste.
