摘要
Purpose of ReviewThis manuscript aims to highlight the vital role of physiatrists in optimizing bone health for cancer survivors within the cancer care continuum.Recent FindingsPositioned uniquely to enhance rehabilitation, physiatrists address the specific challenges that arise from cancer treatments and their impact on bone health, ultimately improving patients' functionality and quality of life. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, nutritionists, and physical therapists, they can create tailored rehabilitation programs that consider each patient's treatment history and current condition. Continuous patient education is crucial, empowering individuals to actively engage in their care and make informed decisions regarding bone health management.SummaryThrough this holistic approach, physiatrists significantly mitigate risks associated with bone fragility, pathologic fractures, and pain, helping cancer survivors maintain their independence and overall well-being throughout their recovery journey. This underscores the importance of integrating effective bone health management into the broader framework of cancer care.
