摘要
Missing Stark widths for 30 spectral lines of zinc ion (Zn IV) have been calculated using our quantum mechanical method. Recently, 21 Zn IV lines among the considered lines have been newly detected in the UV spectrum of the hot white dwarf G191-B2B (DA type). This recent discovery encourages us to calculate their Stark widths to fill the lack of the data base STARK-B and for use in investigations of observed spectra in such stars. Before the Stark broadening evaluation, two steps of calculation have been carried out : in the first step, we calculate the atomic structure and then the electron-ion collision as a second step by the codes of University College London [SUPERSTRUCTURE (SST), DISTORTEDWAVE (DW), and JAJOM]. We provide our calculations for these lines at different temperature values and at density Ne = 10 17 cm-3. We hope that the obtained results could be useful for the modelling of stellar atmospheres.
