摘要
This study explores the photocatalytic activity of Rhodamine B (RhB) and Methylene Blue (MB) dyes using nanosized strontium titanate (SrTiO3) as a mobilized catalyst under ultraviolet radiation. SrTiO3 nanoparticles were synthesized through a facile chemical method and characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and UV-Vis spectroscopy to determine their structural, morphological, functional, elemental, and optical properties. The SrTiO3 nanoparticles demonstrated a remarkable degradation efficiency of 88.61 % for RhB and 92.15 % for MB in 120 min. The results indicate that SrTiO3 nanoparticles are potent photocatalysts for degrading RhB and MB under UV light irradiation.
