Ultrasound is widely used and is an important part of the medical imaging field. As a representative natural language processing model based on artificial intelligence technology; ChatGPT has strong text processing ability and has been widely studied. This approach has shown encouraging results in terms of reporting; clinical decision support; supplementary education and training; and scientific writing. In this article; the potential applications of ChatGPT in various aspects of ultrasound medicine are discussed in detail; and the challenges and problems that may be faced in its application are discussed. Overall; ChatGPT is expected to bring new energy and optimization to the daily work of the ultrasound department. However; it is also necessary to continuously build and improve relevant laws and regulations and data use management mechanisms to ensure their security and reliability. © 1999-2012 IEEE;
