摘要
In this paper, the evaluation of a novel Graphene Oxide (GO) sensor based on a microstrip antenna was employing detecting of CO2 concentration is presented. GO was employed as sensing element of the evaluated sensor, whereas it was obtained from natural graphite employing modified Hummers method. Sensing tests with the device developed were performed using CO2 gas, whereas it is observed that with the increase in gas concentration the operating frequency shifts to higher frequency. Analysing the results of the sensing tests, it is possible to note that the device presented sensitivity of 1.74 kHz/ppm of CO2, demonstrating that the developed sensor has potential to be applied in medical equipment, as well as industrial and residential security applications. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.
