摘要:
The usual U-tube technique has been modified to grow transparent, larger (volume up to 580 mm**3) and more perfect single crystals of KClO//4 in gels. The present technique has the advantages of all other related gel growth techniques so far reported; in addition, the set-up is more compact and sturdy preventing disruption of the gel. The crystals grown have been characterized by chemical analysis and X-ray diffraction techniques. The perfection of these crystals was studied by the chemical etching technique.
