As an alternative to 77GHz radar, laser techniques could be applied to traffic control. The authors put the case for an visible red system in this paper. Alejandro Rodriguez, Adolfo Comeron, Enrique Gonzalez, Antonio Elias, are with AMRO at Signal Theory & Communication Department at the Polytechnic University in Catalonia (UPC) Barcelona, Spain.
