Simulation of initial discharge courses of a pseudo spark switch

摘要
A computer simulation of initial discharge courses for a hollow cathode pseudospark switch has been presented. A 2-D time-dependent fluid model for the electron and ion transport and a local field approximation were adopted. The computational results show that the hollow cathode plays a very important role during discharge. The computational results under different initial triggering charged-particle densities, different gap distances and different cathode hole diameters have been also presented.
