Study and preparation of ultrafine silver powder by microemulsion

The preparation methods of ultrafine silver powder by reaction of oxidation - reduction in microemulsion were investigated. The ultrafine silver powders can be prepared with H2O2 as reducing agent. The size of silver powder as determined by TEM, WAXD and SEM. The results show that the diameter of silver powder is about 6-15 μm in emulsion with PVA as emulsifying agent and the ultrafine silver powders with 10-20 nm diameter can be gained in microemulsion with OP as emulsifying agent.
