Formulas of single-phase hydraulics type are derived for designing oil pipelines carrying oil saturated with propane-butane fraction. These formulas, which are derived on the basis of existing concepts concerning the flow of gas-saturated oil through pipelines and from formulas obtained by the author for the viscosity and bulk coefficient of such oils, are used to calculate the oil flow rate through the pipeline, including the flow rate for degassed oil, and the hydraulic losses in the pipeline.
