Based on the principles of quasioptics, it is shown that the nonuniformity of an external magnetic field near the surface can lead to an inreasing intensity of magnetostatic wave (MSW) radiation by antennas in certain directions. Moreover, it is experimentally shown, that nonuniformity of the magnetic field affects greatly the MSW amplitude distribution in ferrite films and it gives rise to the efficiency of microwave devices by generating directed MSW packets and by energy channeling in the desired direction.
