摘要：
The effect of graphite nodule number and volume fraction on the fracture toughness of pearlitic spheroidal graphite iron has been studied. It has been shown the increasing the graphite nodule number causes a reduction in the crack opening displacement temperature transition and increases the maximum tolerable defect size at any one temperature and stress level. Increasing the volume fraction of graphite was shown to have the same effect in hypo-eutectic irons.
