Various means of filtering spams were described. Langalist introduces Eudora Bayesian filter and rule based filter to reject spam messages. Eudora Bayesian filtering relies on Bayesian statistics to decide whether a message should be rejected. The statistical treatment based on the automatic analysis of messages accepted and rejected by the user, so is automatically continously updated. The filtering allows checking for word combinations so that word is accepted as innocuous in one context but indicative of spam in another.
