Specimen fractions of aromatic hydrocarbons, acid and basic components of oil tars of Neftyanyye Kamni oil and of a mixture of heavy Balakhan, Binagadin, and Artem oils by nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy methods are investigated. It is shown that the high rate of oxidation of oil tars from a mixture of oils may be explained by a more ramified structure of lateral chains of aromatic hydrocarbons, a lower content of amino-type bases and a larger content of acid components with a high acidity number.
